A. MAGIC-S4 is a multipurpose diamond scribing machine with a spacious working area and a flatbed clamp.
It engraves text and designs on flat items of various sizes, including nameplates, tags, souvenirs, and industrial parts.
A. You can engrave product names or identification details on nameplates, add names to pendants and tags, or personalize souvenirs with logos and messages.
Suitability depends on the item’s material, shape, and clamping method.
A. MAGIC-S4 can engrave metals such as gold, silver, copper, brass, aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel. It can also engrave glass and some plastics.
Results depend on the material’s hardness and surface finish. For unfamiliar materials or coated products, test a sample first.
A. A diamond tip presses into the material’s surface to create an engraving. It is used for text, logos, and patterns.
The tool does not rotate during scribing. The appearance of the engraved lines depends on the material, surface finish, and engraving settings.
A. No. MAGIC-S4 is designed for diamond scribing.
It does not support end mills or V-cutters for milling or cutting. If you need to remove material or cut it into shapes, choose a model with CNC milling and cutting capabilities.
A. MAGIC-S4 supports MagicEngrave for PCs and MagicTablet for mobile devices and tablets.

Choose MagicEngrave for detailed editing. Choose MagicTablet for simple jobs and customer participation in the design process.
A. Customers can enter their initials or name on a tablet, then choose the font, size, and position with guidance from a staff member.
The completed design is sent to the machine via Bluetooth for engraving. Sharing the screen with the customer makes it easy to agree on the design and prepare simple personalization requests quickly.
A. The built-in camera allows you to adjust the size, position, and angle of your design while viewing an actual image of the workpiece.
This makes it easier to position designs on nameplates and items with irregular outlines.
A. No. The laser pointer is a positioning aid used to check and adjust the engraving location.
Actual engraving is performed with a diamond tool. MAGIC-S4 does not provide laser marking or laser cutting.
A. MAGIC-S4 has a spacious working area and an open-front and open-back design to accommodate items of various sizes.
However, the size of an item that can be held is different from the area that can be engraved in one setup. Even when a long item extends beyond the machine, the design must remain within the engraving area.
The usable range depends on the item’s dimensions, thickness, and clamping method.
A. MAGIC-S4 is designed mainly for flat items. It is not equipped with a built-in rotary system and dedicated inside-ring tool for ring engraving.
If rotary engraving on rings and bangles is your main application, we recommend MAGIC-S7.
A. MAGIC-S4 provides automatic material height measurement to help set the engraving reference height.
For accurate measurement, secure the workpiece firmly and keep the measurement area and tool free of dirt and debris.
A. Use the standard flatbed clamp to secure the material.
Make sure the workpiece cannot move or tilt during engraving. For thin or irregularly shaped items, first confirm a suitable holding method.
A. A dust collector is generally not needed for normal diamond scribing.
MAGIC-S4 does not use rotating cutters to remove material, so it does not produce the machining chips associated with milling or cutting. Remove any residue after use.
A. Before starting a job, check the following:
Before engraving, use the preview or position-check function to confirm the engraving area.
A. Keep the working area and clamps clean, and remove any residue after use.
Keep the areas around the camera, laser pointer, and measurement sensor clean. Regularly check the diamond tip for wear and damage.
Stop the machine and switch off the power before cleaning, replacing tools, or carrying out inspections. Refer to the manual for detailed maintenance procedures.
