A. MAGIC-L3 is a MOPA fiber laser machine for jewelry marking, deep engraving, and metal cutting.
It can be used for jewelry personalization and production. A built-in camera and automated functions help simplify job preparation.
A. You can mark text and logos on pendants and medals, engrave the inside and outside of rings, mark photographs, perform deep engraving, and cut metal sheets.
For example, you can engrave a name or special date on a ring, or mark a design on a metal sheet before cutting it into shape.
A. MAGIC-L3 can process metals such as gold, silver, platinum, brass, copper, aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel. It can also mark some plastics.
A material suitable for marking is not necessarily suitable for deep engraving or cutting. Results depend on its composition, surface finish, thickness, and laser settings. Sample testing is recommended for unfamiliar materials.
A. MAGIC-L3 is available in 30W, 60W, and 100W models.
| Power | Recommended application |
|---|---|
| 30W | General personalization, including text and logos |
| 60W | Marking combined with deep engraving and metal cutting |
| 100W | Production work where deep engraving and cutting efficiency matter |
Higher power does not increase every job’s speed by the same proportion. Choose according to your main materials and required engraving depth or cutting thickness.
A. The official catalog lists the following specifications.
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Flat marking area (X × Y) | 112 × 112 mm |
| Maximum Z-axis travel | 100 mm |
| Maximum material height | 100 mm |
The usable range depends on the clamp, worktable, lens configuration, and workpiece shape.
Z-axis travel and maximum material height are different measurements. For tall items, confirm suitability with the intended clamp.
A. MAGIC-L3 uses the laser version of MagicEngrave for PCs.
It combines design editing, positioning, toolpath generation, and laser settings in one program. You can assign separate settings for marking, deep engraving, and cutting within the same design.
A. Yes. Black and white marking are possible depending on the material and laser settings. Color marking is also possible on certain metals, such as stainless steel and titanium.
Color marking uses the properties of the oxide layer formed on the metal surface during laser processing. Therefore, the same colors or contrast cannot be achieved on every metal.
Actual results depend on the metal type, alloy composition, surface finish, and laser settings. If you require a particular color or finish, test a sample of the actual material to establish suitable processing conditions.
A. The camera lets you adjust your design’s size, position, and angle while viewing an actual image of the workpiece.
This helps you position designs on items with irregular outlines, such as pendants.
A. MAGIC-L3 supports autofocus and focus pointers.
Autofocus may be affected by reflectivity, color, surface angle, and ambient lighting. If necessary, adjust the Z-axis manually until the two focus pointers meet at one point on the working surface.
An auxiliary guide laser can help when a focus pointer is obstructed.
A. MAGIC-L3 supports a Load-N-Go docking rotary clamp.
The machine automatically detects a compatible rotary clamp when it is docked. This simplifies switching between flat and ring jobs without connecting a separate rotary cable.
The rotary clamp is optional. Confirm whether it is included when ordering.
A. Yes. A compatible rotary clamp allows you to mark text, logos, and patterns on both surfaces.
Select the inside or outside mode, enter the actual ring dimensions, and secure the ring firmly. Suitability depends on its diameter, width, thickness, and shape.
A. With the automatic tilting rotary clamp, the angle is adjusted according to the ring dimensions.
The entered diameter and width determine the required tilt, reducing manual setup. Enter accurate measurements and check that the ring is securely held.
A. Yes. MAGIC-L3 supports multi-height and curved-surface marking.
Enter accurate height or curvature information. These functions do not automatically recognize every irregular surface.
A. Based on our MAGIC-L3 tests, we recommend sheets up to 1 mm thick for the 30W model and up to 2 mm for the 60W and 100W models. These are practical recommendations that consider processing time, rather than maximum cutting limits for every material.
The following are measured cutting times for 13 × 5 mm test lettering and patterns.
| Material | Thickness | 30W | 60W | 100W |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | 0.5 mm | 4 min | 30 sec | 23 sec |
| Silver | 1 mm | 10 min | 2 min 24 sec–2 min 38 sec | 1 min 36 sec |
| Silver | 2 mm | — | 9 min 20 sec | 5 min 15 sec–10 min |
| Brass | 1 mm | 9 min 10 sec | 5 min 50 sec | 2 min 20 sec–5 min |
| Brass | 2 mm | — | 31 min 50 sec–46 min 11 sec | 14 min 40 sec–36 min |
Time ranges represent results obtained with different processing settings or patterns. “—” means no measured result is recorded for that condition.
Our tests also demonstrated cutting 3 mm brass with the 60W and 100W models. However, processing takes considerably longer, so we recommend up to 2 mm for regular work. For thicker sheets, heat-related deformation and cut-edge quality should also be considered.
Actual cutting time and results depend on the material composition, design size and complexity, cutting path, and laser settings.
A. Options include:
Some accessories are sold separately. Confirm a suitable configuration before ordering.
A. Yes. Laser marking and cutting can produce dust, fumes, and fine particles. Use an extraction system suitable for the material.
Keep it running during processing and maintain its filters and collection components. Compatible equipment can be linked to the machine to operate automatically at the start and end of a job.
A. MAGIC-L3 has an enclosed working chamber, an automatic safety door, and a laser-protective viewing window.
It is designed for Class 1 operation under normal use conditions, with sensors monitoring the door. You can observe processing through the window while the door is closed.
Keep the door closed during processing and do not disable safety sensors or protective features.
A. The official catalog lists the following specifications.
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Machine dimensions (W × D × H) | 404 × 590 × 556 mm |
| Overall height with the door open | Approximately 828 mm |
| 30W model weight | 46 kg |
| 60W model weight | 50 kg |
| 100W model weight | 54 kg |

Install it on a sturdy, level workbench. Allow space for door movement, extraction hoses, and loading workpieces.
A. Before starting:
Use the preview or position-check function before processing.
A. Remove processing residue and prevent dust from accumulating around the clamps and rotary system.
Keep the viewing window, camera, and focus-pointer areas clean. Check extraction filters regularly. Maintain lenses and optical components using the methods and tools specified in the manual.
Stop the machine and switch off the power before cleaning or inspection.
