A. MAGIC-E4 is a multipurpose desktop CNC engraving machine that supports diamond scribing, CNC engraving, and cutting.
Its spacious flat working area and flatbed clamp make it suitable for machining nameplates, signs, sheets, and various products.
A. You can engrave text and logos on nameplates and signs, personalize pendants, cut acrylic and metal sheets, and make craft components.
For example, you can engrave plastic sheets to produce name badges or cut metal sheets into custom shapes. Actual capabilities depend on the material, tool, and machining settings.
A. MAGIC-E4 can engrave metals such as gold, silver, brass, copper, aluminum, and stainless steel. It can also engrave and cut materials such as acrylic, plastic, wood, and modeling board.
However, a material suitable for scribing is not necessarily suitable for milling or cutting. Select the tool and machining method according to the material’s hardness, surface finish, and thickness.
A. The two methods differ in how the tool works and the finish they produce.
A. The catalog specification table lists the following ranges.
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Flat machining range (X × Y × Z) | 240 × 158 × 38.5 mm |
| XYZ-axis travel | 244 × 197 × 38.5 mm |
| Maximum material height | 60 mm |
Axis travel, usable machining range, and maximum material height are different measurements. The actual working range depends on the clamp, tool, and workpiece shape.
A. Yes. The open-front and open-back design allows longer items to extend beyond the working area while a section is machined.
However, an item fitting in the machine does not mean its full length can be machined in one setup. Keep the design within the usable machining range and support any part extending outside the machine securely.
A. Select the following tools according to the job.
| Tool | Main application |
|---|---|
| Diamond tool | Scribing text, logos, and patterns |
| V-cutter | Engraving text and outlines by removing material |
| End mill | Milling and cutting |
Choose a suitable tool and machining settings for the material and desired result.
A. MAGIC-E4 supports MagicEngrave for PCs and MagicTablet for mobile devices and tablets.
| Category | MagicEngrave | MagicTablet |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | PC | Mobile devices and tablets running Windows, iOS, or Android |
| Main use | Detailed editing and CNC engraving/cutting preparation | Quick preparation of simple engraving designs |
| Typical applications | Logo editing, toolpaths, and machining settings | Initials, names, and short messages |
| Key features | Detailed design and job settings | Touch-based design and Bluetooth wireless control |
We recommend MagicEngrave for CNC engraving, cutting, and more complex jobs. MagicTablet is useful for in-store personalization, allowing customers to enter their text and choose a design.
A. The built-in camera allows you to adjust the design’s size, position, and angle while viewing an actual image of the workpiece. The laser pointer also helps you check and adjust the working position.
The laser pointer is a positioning aid. It does not perform laser marking or cutting.
A. MAGIC-E4 provides automatic material height and tool length measurement to establish the machining reference height.
For accurate measurement, secure the workpiece firmly and keep the measurement area and tool free of chips and debris.
A. The maximum cutting thickness and processing time depend on the material, tool diameter, cutting depth, and workpiece clamping method. Therefore, there is no single maximum cutting thickness that applies to all metals.
Please let us know the material, thickness, and desired shape of your workpiece so we can evaluate the appropriate tools and machining conditions.
A. The MAGIC-E4 is a CNC engraving machine primarily designed for flat materials and does not come with a built-in rotary attachment for ring machining.
If you need a single machine that can perform both inner and outer ring engraving and CNC machining, we recommend considering the MAGIC-E7.
A. In addition to the standard flat clamp, available accessories include a multipurpose pendant clamp, cutting clamp, spoon jig, clamp pins, and a dedicated dust collector.
Choose the appropriate configuration based on the size and shape of your workpiece and whether cutting is required. Some accessories are sold separately.
A. No. A dust collector is not required.
However, cutting chips may scatter during operations such as acrylic engraving. Therefore, we recommend using a dedicated dust collector if you primarily work with acrylic. It helps keep the workspace clean and reduces the effort required for cleanup.
A. According to the catalog, the machine's dimensions and weight are as follows:
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Machine dimensions (W × D × H) | 402.5 × 376.5 × 352.5 mm |
| Weight | 25 kg |
Install the machine on a flat, sturdy workbench and ensure there is sufficient surrounding space to load and unload materials and operate the clamps.
A. Before starting a job, check the following:
After each job, remove chips and dust, and keep the camera, laser pointer, and measurement areas clean. Always stop the machine and turn off the power before cleaning, changing tools, or performing inspections.
