A. MAGIC-E3 is a compact desktop CNC engraving machine that supports diamond scribing, CNC engraving, and cutting.
Its compact size makes it suitable for stores and workshops working with name badges, pendants, small nameplates, and craft materials.
A. You can engrave text and logos on name badges and nameplates, personalize pendants, and cut acrylic and metal sheets.
For example, you can engrave identification details on plastic plates or cut metal sheets to make small decorative items. Actual capabilities depend on the material, tool, and machining settings.
A. MAGIC-E3 can engrave metals such as gold, silver, brass, copper, aluminum, and stainless steel. It can also engrave and cut materials such as acrylic, plastic, wood, and modeling board.
However, a material suitable for scribing is not necessarily suitable for milling or cutting. Select the tool and machining method according to the material’s hardness, surface finish, and thickness.
A. The two methods differ in how the tool works and the finish they produce.
A. The catalog specification table lists the following ranges.
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Flat machining range (X × Y × Z) | 145 × 110 × 38.5 mm |
| XYZ-axis travel | 153 × 134 × 38.5 mm |
| Maximum material height | 40 mm |
Axis travel, usable machining range, and maximum material height are different measurements. The actual working range depends on the clamp, tool, and workpiece shape.
A. MAGIC-E3 is suited to small workpieces and limited installation space, while MAGIC-E4 provides a larger flat machining area.
Consider E3 for pendants and small nameplates, or E4 if you regularly work with larger sheets and nameplates. Check your actual workpiece dimensions and required machining range before choosing.
A. Select the following tools according to the job.
| Tool | Main application |
|---|---|
| Diamond tool | Scribing text, logos, and patterns |
| V-cutter | Engraving text and outlines by removing material |
| End mill | Milling and cutting |
Choose a suitable tool and machining settings for the material and desired result.
A. MAGIC-E3 supports MagicEngrave for PCs and MagicTablet for mobile devices and tablets.
| Category | MagicEngrave | MagicTablet |
|---|---|---|
| Platform | PC | Mobile devices and tablets running Windows, iOS, or Android |
| Main use | Detailed editing and CNC engraving/cutting preparation | Quick preparation of simple engraving designs |
| Typical applications | Logo editing, toolpaths, and machining settings | Initials, names, and short messages |
| Key features | Detailed design and job settings | Touch-based design and Bluetooth wireless control |
We recommend MagicEngrave for CNC engraving, cutting, and more complex jobs. MagicTablet is useful for in-store personalization, allowing customers to enter their initials or name and choose a design.
A. The built-in camera allows you to adjust the design’s size, position, and angle while viewing an actual image of the workpiece. The laser pointer also helps you check and adjust the working position.
The laser pointer is a positioning aid. It does not perform laser marking or cutting.
A. MAGIC-E3 provides automatic material height and tool length measurement to establish the machining reference height.
For accurate measurement, secure the workpiece firmly and keep the measurement area and tool free of chips and debris.
A. The achievable cutting thickness and processing time depend on the material, tool diameter, cutting depth, and clamping method. There is no single maximum cutting thickness that applies to every metal.
Please provide the material, thickness, and desired shape so that suitable tools and machining conditions can be reviewed.
A. MAGIC-E3 is designed mainly for flat workpieces and does not include a built-in rotary system for ring machining.
If you need ring engraving and CNC machining in one machine, consider MAGIC-E7.
A. Available accessories include a multipurpose flat clamp, cutting clamp, spoon jig, clamp pins, and a dedicated dust collector.
Scribing and cutting apply different forces to the material, so choose a holding configuration suitable for the job. Some accessories are sold separately.
A. No. A dust collector is not required.
However, acrylic engraving can produce chips that scatter around the working area. If acrylic engraving is your main application, we recommend the dedicated dust collector. It helps keep the workspace clean and reduces cleanup.
A. The catalog lists the following dimensions and weight.
| Category | Specification |
|---|---|
| Machine dimensions (W × D × H) | 310.5 × 350.5 × 324.5 mm |
| Weight | 20 kg |
Install the machine on a level, sturdy workbench. Allow additional space for loading and unloading workpieces and operating the clamps.
A. Before starting a job:
After use, remove chips and dust, and keep the camera, laser pointer, and measurement areas clean. Stop the machine and switch off the power before cleaning, replacing tools, or carrying out inspections.
